Can I upload a .dcr audio from Liberty Player on Claudio?

This article will outline the process of submitting .dcr files from Liberty Player on Claudio, including requesting transcripts of partial audios

In Liberty Player:
1. Upload Your Audio File:

Start by uploading your .dcr file into Liberty Player.
  

2. Liberty Player Dashboard:
Once uploaded, you'll be able to view the status of the audio in Liberty Player. Key sections on the dashboard include:

  • Status: Displays the upload status of the audio file.
  • Time & Position: Shows the current playback position of the audio.
  • Volume: Adjust the volume as needed.
  • Playing Channels: Shows the active audio channels during playback.

3. Using the Time & Position Section:
  • Drag the slider in the Time & Position section to control the playback position.
  • As you play your audio, note the start and end timestamps of the relevant portions of the audio you want transcribed. These timestamps will later be used in Claudio to enhance the transcription process.

In Claudio:

1. Log into Your Claudio Account:
Enjoy a seamless transcription experience by logging into your Claudio account.

2. Access the Advanced Transcription Form:
Once logged in, navigate to either the Advanced Transcription Form or the Data Entry Form. Enter the required details:
  • Job Name: Name your transcription job.
  • Profile Selection: Choose the appropriate profile for your transcription.

3. Provide Additional Details (Optional):
On the second page of the Advanced Transcription Form, enter any additional details, if necessary. Otherwise, simply click ‘Next.’

4. Upload Audio and Enter Timestamps:
On the third page:
  • Upload Your .dcr media File. Claudio supports other media formats too. Learn more about these formats here.



  • Enter Start and End Times: Use the timestamps noted from Liberty Player to specify the Audio Start Time and Audio End Time. You can drag the slider in Liberty Player to pinpoint these times.
  • Refer to the screenshots for a visual guide on how to extract and enter these timestamps from Liberty Player.
  • Audio Start
  • Audio End


  • Input the Timestamps on Claudio.

Note: Entering timestamps is only required if you want a transcript of part of the audio file. You can skip this step and proceed with the transcription without specifying start and end times.


5. Submit Your Job:
Once all details are filled in, submit the transcription job.

6. Track Job Status:
You can monitor the status of your submitted job by visiting the History tab in Claudio. Use the job name to easily navigate the status of your submitted job.
