FAQ
Speaker Pauses
Removes fillers verbal thought pauses such as um, uh and mm.
Most unedited media recordings contain speaker verbal thought pauses which are transcribed as um, ah, etc. depending on what it sounds like on the record. It can make the transcript very hard to read, but is preferred in qualitative interviews and captions where the flow of speech is important. This feature allows you to choose if you want speaker pauses included in the transcript
Flag Options:
-
Remove speaker Pauses (default)
-
Keep Speaker Pauses
Example
Verbatim Transcript:
Are you uhh, getting umm anything to eat?
Output with Remove Speaker Pauses:
Are you getting anything to eat?
Output with Keep Speaker Pauses:
Are you uhh, getting umm anything to eat?
