Speaker Pauses

Removes fillers in speech such as "um", "uh" and "mm".

Unedited recordings naturally contain speaker pauses—sounds like "um," "ah," and similar vocalizations that appear exactly as spoken. While these can make transcripts harder to read, they're often valuable in qualitative interviews and captions where capturing the natural flow of speech matters.

This feature lets you choose whether to include speaker pauses in your transcript.

Format Options:

  • Remove speaker pauses (default)

  • Keep speaker pauses

Example:

Original transcript:
"Are you uhh, getting umm anything to eat?"

With Remove Speaker Pauses:
"Are you getting anything to eat?"

With Keep Speaker Pauses:
"Are you uhh, getting umm anything to eat?"
