Speaker Identification

Control how speakers are identified in your transcript.

Transcribing a multi-person conversation is challenging. You have pristine audio and perfect recording quality, but then reality sets in: four speakers, overlapping dialogue, similar-sounding voices, and the need to manually label each speaker change. Standard speech-to-text software won't help—it just dumps everything into one continuous block of text with no speaker identification.

Claudio's Speaker Identification feature solves this automatically. When enabled, it tags and differentiates between speakers in your transcript—no manual labeling, no endless block of text to parse through.

Activating Speaker Labels

To enable Speaker Labels in Claudio, follow these steps:

Via the Smart Format Form:
Enable the feature before submitting audio for transcription.

Through Profile Settings (Team Administrators):
  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  2. Select Profile from the dropdown menu.
  3. Choose the desired profile from your enterprise’s list.
  4. Scroll down to the Smart Format section.
  5. Under Speaker Identification, select Add Speaker Labels.
  6. Click Update in the top-right corner.

Once configured, any audio submitted with the updated profile will automatically apply speaker labeling.
