How to enable Macros on a MS-Word file?

To enable macros on an MS Word file, here's a more streamlined and detailed process that incorporates your steps in a clear and concise manner.

Step 1: Unblock the Template File

Right-click on the template file (or the document with macros).

Select Properties.

Under the General tab, tick the box that says Unblock.

Click Apply, then OK.

Step 2: Attach and Enable the Template

Open MS Word and go to File -> Options.

In the Options window, select Add-ins from the sidebar.

At the bottom, you'll see a dropdown menu next to Manage.

Select Word Add-ins from the dropdown and click Go.

In the Templates and Add-ins window, click Attach.

Browse for your template file in File Explorer, select it, and click Open.

Back in the same Templates and Add-ins window, under Global templates and add-ins, click Add.

Browse for the same template file again, select it, and click Open.

Click OK.

Step 3: Set Trusted Locations for the Template

Go to File -> Options -> Trust Center.

Select Trust Center Settings.

In the Trust Center, select Trusted Locations from the sidebar.

At the bottom, click Add new location.

Browse to the folder where the template file is stored and select OK.

Tick the box that says Subfolders of this location are also trusted and click OK.

Still in Trusted Locations, scroll down and check the box for Allow Trusted Locations on my network.

Click OK.

Step 4: Enable Macros

Return to File -> Options -> Trust Center.

Select Trust Center Settings and go to Macro Settings.

Choose Enable all macros.

Tick the box that says Trust access to the VBA project object model.

Click OK.

Final Step: Re-attach the Template (if needed)

After completing the Trust Center and Macro Settings configuration, repeat Step 2 (re-attaching and enabling the template).

By following these steps, you'll have enabled macros and ensured the Word template is trusted, allowing full functionality.
