FAQ
Can I Use FTR With Non-FTR Recorded Audios?
Detailed explanation on using FTR with non-FTR recorded audios
Yes, you can use FTR with non-FTR recorded audios. However, if you are using FTR to play back non-FTR (.trm) files, please note that FTR will not show you the correct audio length, elapsed time, or time of day values in the player. This will apply to .mp3 and .wav files, and possibly other audio formats as well.
FTR is not able to decode the start and end times as time of day values. In addition, it does not know that the recorder may have been paused during the playback, and does not account for those pauses. It subtracts the incorrectly decoded start time from the end time and calculates the audio length and displays the incorrect audio length as a result.
