How Do I Enable My Foot Pedal?

Detailed step-by-step outline on how to enable your foot pedal on VIQ Player

If you start using VIQ player and the foot pedal doesn’t work, follow these steps to ensure return to smooth sailing:

1. Go to Options > Enable USB Foot Pedal

   

2. If this doesn’t work, close VIQ, unplug and replug the foot pedal into the USB port, and then reopen VIQ

3. Click Enable USB Foot Pedal again

4. If you are still having issues, please ask for IT support

The default settings for the VIQ foot pedal are that the left pedal is Forward and the right pedal is Rewind. If you want the settings that we use in Express Scribe, go to Options > Reverse foot pedal controls
