Why did my media upload fail midway?

Claudio supports a wide range of audio and video file formats for transcription. To view the full list of accepted formats, click here.

While Claudio is capable of handling large files in various formats, there are some important upload limits and factors to consider that may affect the process.

Upload Limits:
Quickstart allows a total file size of up to 2GB. If uploading multiple files, ensure that their combined size does not exceed 2GB.

Claudio IME supports a total file size of up to 1GB.

Internet connection:

Below factors related to your internet connection can affect file upload on Claudio:

Upload Speed:
Faster upload speed means shorter wait time.
For example, a slow connection might take an hour to send a big video, while a fast one does it in minutes.

Sharing Internet Connection:
If others are using the internet (like streaming or gaming), your upload might take longer.

Latency:
A stable connection means your upload goes smoothly.
Even with high upload speeds, high latency (delay in data transfer) can slow uploads.

Connection Stability:
Frequent interruptions or fluctuating speeds can corrupt uploads.

Type of Internet Connection:
  • Fiber: Faster uploads.
  • Cable/DSL: Slower uploads.
  • Satellite: Can be very slow and unreliable.

File Size and Format:
Large files take longer to upload, and uncompressed formats (e.g., WAV audio files) will upload slower than compressed ones (e.g., MP3).

Tips:
  • Upgrade your plan to one with higher upload speeds.
  • Schedule uploads during off-peak hours to avoid congestion.
  • Use compression to reduce file size without losing quality.
  • Test your connection regularly to monitor upload performance.
