I'm Seeing an Error Message That Says "App Expired" on Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit. What Should I Do Next?

The "App Expired" error typically appears when a new version of the app is required and reactivation is needed.

Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue and continue using Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit.

Uninstall Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit

1. Open the Start Menu and search for "Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit".
2. Right-click on the Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit app and choose "Uninstall".
     
   
   
   
3. This will open the Control Panel. In the list of installed programs, locate Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit.
4. Right-click on it again and select "Uninstall".
   
   
   
5. If prompted, enter your administrator credentials to proceed.
6. In the uninstaller window, choose the "Online" option.
   
   
   Note: It is very important to select "Online" option if you have unused credits and need it to be synchronized back to your cloud account. You will need an active internet connection for this.
   
   
7. Click "Next", then select "Sync".
   
   
   
8. The Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit login window will appear. Log in using your credentials.
   
   
   
9. Wait a few minutes while the app syncs the database and settings. A confirmation pop-up will appear once syncing is complete.
10. Click "Next" to continue.
11. The uninstallation process will begin.
12. Once finished, click "Finish" to complete the uninstallation.
    
    

Install Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit

1. Log in to Loom Analytics Web.
2. Navigate to the "Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit" tab.
3. Click the "Download Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit" button to download the installer.
   
   
   
4. Once the download is complete, locate the file in your Downloads folder and double-click it to begin installation.
   
   
   
5. A window will appear with the License Agreement. Read through the agreement, and then click "I Agree" to continue.
   
   
   
6. Choose the installation option:
   • "Anyone who uses this computer" – If multiple user accounts need access.
   • "Only for me" – If you want the app to be available only to your user account.
     Then click "Next".
     
7. Click "Install" to begin the installation process.

Note: At least 8 GB of available disk space and 16 GB of RAM are recommended for optimal performance.

After installation completes, click "Finish". Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit will launch automatically.

If it doesn't open, go to the Start menu, search for "Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit", and open the app labelled "App".

Activate Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit App With a New Activation Code

1. After installation is complete, open Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit and log in using your credentials.
2. You will be prompted to enter an activation code.
3. Open Loom Analytics Web and navigate to the "Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit" tab.
4. Find your device name in the list, click the three dots next to it, and select "Generate Activation Code".
5. A new activation code will be generated. Copy the code.
6. Return to the Loom Analytics Desktop - Hermit app and paste the activation code into the activation screen.
7. Proceed with the activation process as prompted.
