What Is the Difference Between Search & Replace and Find and Replace?

Search & Replace rules change words as the transcript is produced, before you ever see the text. The rules are saved to your profile, so they apply to every future transcript that uses that profile.

To fix text that's already in your document, use the ordinary find and replace instead by pressing Ctrl+H in the editor.

To Add a Search & Replace Rule

1. Open the Search & Replace tab in the editor.
2. Choose the rule type. Simple matches an exact word or phrase and is recommended for most users. Regex matches patterns and is for advanced users only.
3. Type the word to find, and then type what it should become.
4. Click Add rule, or press Enter.

To delete a rule, click the bin icon beside it.
