How can I add line numbers to my document?

This article will provide simple instructions on how to enable line numbers in Microsoft Word.

Line numbers are something that can be required in most transcription documents, as being able to quickly refer to parts of a document is paramount. This article will outline the basic steps on how we can add line numbers to your document.

Go to the Layout tab.


Click Line Numbers.



You will see a number of options available to you. Play around with them to see which one fits best for you.
