How Do I Create Text Expander Shortcuts?

The below article explains how to turn short triggers into longer phrases you type often

Text Expander replaces a short trigger with a longer piece of text. It's ideal for standard objections, party names, addresses, and boilerplate.

You can manage your rules in three places, which all show the same list: Text Expander in the top menu, Settings ▸ Text Expander, or the Text Expander tab inside the editor.

  1. In the Trigger(s) box, type the short text (e.g., objx).
  2. In the Replacement box, type the full text (e.g., Objection, Your Honour).
  3. Turn on Word Boundary if the trigger should only expand when typed as a complete word.
  4. Save the rule.

Shortcuts While Editing: Press Alt+R to create a global text expansion, or Alt+T to create one for the current document only.

Tip: Ten good shortcuts save more time than any other single change.
